Chemical Indicators and PCDs
Chemical indicators and process challenge devices (PCD) are often used to monitor sterilization processes or to check the performance of sterilizers. The chemical indicator or the combination of a chemical indicator and PCD (indicator system) thus defines the performance requirements of the process or machine.
If the chemical indicator or the PCD meets the relevant standards, a state-of-the-art performance requirement is ensured and a meaningful monitoring or performance test can be carried out.
