Dry heat according to ISO 20857
Validation of dry heat sterilization processes has to address special requirements. Examples are the initial temperature of the load, its mass, the load configuration and the measurement of an accurate temperature profile at numerous positions throughout the load. This physical data is complemented by proof of microbicidal effectiveness by use of spores of Bacillus atrophaeus.
